O design no contexto histórico da arte: uma visão da arte e do design a partir do ornamento Traçando uma analogia de equivalência entre as questões de estilo e a ornamentação, o estudo apóia-se na teoria de Aloïs Riegl a fim de esboçar uma reflexão antropológica para o surgimento do design e algumas de suas respectivas confluências com a arte. Enriquecido pelos avanços que a psicologia da percepção visual proporcionou à compreensão contemporânea acerca da representação artística, e consequentemente de sua historicidade, parte-se da hipótese que este surgimento tenha se dado num processo naturalmente evolutivo, objetivando suprir uma inerente necessidade humana.
Abstract Drawing an equivalence analogy between the subjects of style and the ornamentation, the study leans on Aloïs Riegl's theory in order to sketch an anthropological reflection for the appearance of the design and some of their respective confluences with the art. Enriched by the progresses that the psychology of the visual perception provided to the contemporary understanding for the artistic representation, and consequently of this historicity, breaks of the hypothesis that this appearance has given in a process naturally evolutionary, aiming at to supply an inherent human need.
