The purpose of this project is to present a wide variety of Brazilian health oriented products in order to enhance the design in medical equipment produced in Brazil. The site is destined to serve hospital managers, medical doctors, research, designers, architects, teachers and students. The user may register products or projects as part of the site. This is a joint project realized by Fundação Oswaldo Cruz and ESDI/UERJ, under coordination of Luiz Antonio de Saboya and Élio Grossman. (portuguese only)

VISCONTI DESIGNER

Much has been written about Visconti as a fine artist; but writing about Visconti as a designer is both rare and recent. The Eliseu Visconti Project profits from the opportunity created by the Brazil/Italy Seminar, that took place at UERJ, October 2000 to emphasize the importance of Visconti in the history of Brazilian design. Visconti is undoubtedly a great precursor of this activity in our country. The project - coordinated by Guilherme Cunha Lima, was developed by the Cultural Department of UERJ with the sponsorship of FAPERJ, thus generating an itinerary exhibition and a lecture which were adapted to be presented at this website.
