A obra consiste em um acervo de estampas têxteis criadas a partir de crônicas literárias de autores renomados, que retratam a cidade do Rio de Janeiro na virada dos séculos XIX e XX. O objetivo aqui é representar graficamente o que se pode extrair de genuinamente carioca nos textos escolhidos. Carioquice, como chamamos os costumes e comportamentos típicos do Rio de Janeiro, foi a essência retirada dos textos. Para uma melhor edição e melhor compreensão dessa alma local, foram utilizadas pesquisas históricas e questionários pessoais para entender a identidade e o conceito de cidade e moda em diferentes grupos sociais. Pretende-se, a partir da coleção realizada, propor representações do contexto da cidade à época no plano do design de superficies, almejando o público da própria cidade.

The work consists of a collection of textile prints created from literary chronicles by renowned authors that portray the city of Rio de Janeiro at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The objective here is to graphically represent what can be extracted from the chosen texts that are genuinely Carioca. Carioquice, as we call the typical customs and behaviors of Rio de Janeiro, was the essence taken from the texts. For a better edition and better understanding of this local soul, historical research and personal questionnaires were used to understand the identity and the concept of city and fashion in different social groups. From the collection made, the intention is to propose representations of the context of the city at the time in terms of surface design, targeting the public of the city itself.
