O presente documento relata a concepção e o desenvolvimento do projeto "Calçadas de Iguaçu", uma investigação ao longo da História e sobre os elementos que compõem a memória e a identidade desta sociedade localizada na Baixada Fluminense. A partir de dados históricos e geográficos e de informações sobre urbanismo, arte e arquitetura, o projeto tem como desdobramento a criação de padrões e grafismos exclusivos a serem aplicados nas calçadas da cidade, como uma forma de tornar estas informações acessíveis à uma população que nem sempre cultiva o hábito de investigar suas origens e também para promover uma melhora nos aspectos visuais e utilitários das ruas iguaçuanas.

The present document reports the conception and development of the project "Calçadas de Iguaçu", an investigation through history and about the elements that compose the memory and identity of this society located in Baixada Fluminense. Based on historical and geographic data and information about urbanism, art and architecture, the project has as its unfolding the creation of patterns and exclusive graphics to be applied on the sidewalks of the city, as a way to make this information accessible to a population that does not always cultivate the habit of investigating its origins and also to promote an improvement in the visual and utilitarian aspects of the streets of Iguaçu.
