Tornar visíveis produções culturais independentes e locais na Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro, pode contribuir para uma nova percepção sobre essa região cercada de estigmas de periferia. Buscando evidenciar o valor de tais iniciativas no contexto cultural local, este trabalho tenta desvelar e, ao mesmo tempo, registrar o atual panorama cultural independente dessas cidades. Além disso, empenha-se em refletir sobre a importância do design como agente provocador de novos modos de perceber e discutir as dimensões da sociedade e da cultura. Para isso, o projeto expõe as etapas do processo de mapeamento, as visualizações dos dados colhidos e o projeto gráfico do fanzine, suporte final de apresentação de pesquisa.

Making visible independent and local cultural productions in the Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro, may contribute to a new perception about this region surrounded by periphery stigmas. Seeking to highlight the value of such initiatives in the local cultural context, this work attempts to unveil and, at the same time, register the current independent cultural panorama of these cities. Furthermore, it endeavors to reflect on the importance of design as an agent that provokes new ways of perceiving and discussing the dimensions of society and culture. To this end, the project exposes the stages of the mapping process, the visualizations of the data collected, and the graphic project of the fanzine, the final support for the research presentation.
