Esse trabalho traz um projeto de experiência sensorial destinado para crianças cegas e com dificuldades visuais, na faixa dos 4 a 6 anos, oferecendo diferentes texturas inspiradas em pelos e estruturas de animais, como o casco de uma tartaruga e a pele de um elefante. O objetivo do projeto é auxiliar o ensino sobre animais através das sensações vindas do toque.Além de apresentar as texturas e os formatos dos animais usados no projeto, o livro do trabalho agrupa informações sobre a população deficiente no Rio de Janeiro e no resto do país principalmente os deficientes visuais. Trazendo também outros produtos — como o Livro Negro das Cores e o mapa tátil da Fundação Dorina Nowill — e iniciativas — como a Associação dos Deficientes Visuais do Rio e Audioteca Sal e Luz — criados para o publico cego e também uma pesquisa sobre o Instituto Benjamin Constant, falando de sua historia e atividades.

This work brings a sensory experience project intended for blind and visually impaired children, between the ages of 4 and 6, offering different textures inspired by animal hair and structures, such as the shell of a turtle and the skin of an elephant. The aim of the project is to assist the teaching about animals through the sensations coming from the touch. In addition to presenting the textures and formats of the animals used in the project, the workbook groups information on the disabled population in Rio de Janeiro and in the rest of the country mainly the visually impaired. Bringing also other products – such as the Black Book of Colors and the Touch Map of the Dorina Nowill Foundation – and initiatives – like the Association of Visual Disabled of Rio and Audioteca Salt and Light – created for the blind audience and also a survey on the Benjamin Constant Institute, speaking about its history and activities.
