Resumo (Inglês)

Starting with the premise that designers can be recognized as authors, this work aims to investigate how is established the celebrity status of professionals who go beyond the practical dimension of their work. The problematization of the relationship between design and authorship happens from multiple case study with the designers: Charles Eames, Milton Glaser and Stefan Sagmeister, seeking to understand the points of contact and separation between each of them. In this research, the figure of the author-designer is analyzed in three inseparable aspects: social recognition, style and expertise.
