Por meio de uma investigação da história da institucionalização do ensino do design, o projeto pretende refletir sobre a maneira como o design entende o conceito de percepção. Questionando a permanência de alguns pensamentos modernos no ensino e apontando maneiras mais abrangentes de se entender o processo perceptivo, o projeto tem por objetivo atentar para a necessidade de se repensar e de se adequar o conceito de percepção, e sua abordagem no ensino, ao cenário contemporâneo.

Through an investigation on the history of the institutionalization of design education, the project aims to reflect on how the design field understands the concept of perception. Questioning the permanence of some modern beliefs on teaching and indicating more comprehensive ways to understand the perceptive process, the research intends to draw attention to the need to reconsider and adapt the concept of perception, and its approach to teaching, to the contemporary scenario.
