The current research aims at suggesting design patterns for the design of digital magazines for tablet computers. A set of 20 patterns related mainly to interactivity and navigation regarding the page layout and the typesetting of the content are presented with the goal of linking issues of the editorial design to the interface design. For the creation of the patterns, the method of design patterns language were described: what are design design patterns, procedures for the preparation and the issues regarding its specific use related to interaction design of digital magazines for tablet. Based on researches for digital magazines, we identified the main interaction design elements to analyse, in a group of digital magazines for tablet computers, how they take shape and their editorial purposes. This is a first proposal subject to the validation with the design of digital magazines, with the potential for development and enhancement towards other publishing products.
